Watch the sunrise from Feleacului Hill! Enjoy the sunset from the Lombului Peak! Whether you stay the night in Hoia Forest or try to escape the scorching sun in the shades of Făget Forest, you will have an unforgettable adventure: you will walk paths that our ancestors walked daily in the past, while finding out valuable information about the area.
The track connects the traditions and cultures around Cluj: the Land of Călata, the Transylvanian Plain, the Gheorghieni region; it creates the opportunity for these neighbouring regions to meet and collaborate through activity in nature. It connects natural values with cultural ones, thus helping the fans of travelling in nature to get acquainted with history, tradition, and the protection of the environment. Forest roads and trails have existed for many years, but being unused, they need to be cleaned, marked, maintained, and renovated constantly.
of this cca. 100-km route around Cluj-Napoca is to offer an alternative leisure activity which, in addition to physical efforts, also draws attention to the cultural and natural values of the areas near Cluj-Napoca.
The route will be permanently marked and it can be visited all year long, but only on foot, running, cycling, or on horseback.
